  • Forex runs Monday to Friday

    The week opens with the Asian session in Sydney on Monday morning and closes with New York on Friday evening. On weekends prices stand still, and they can jump when Monday opens.

  • One Asian session

    Sydney opens first and Tokyo closes last, so we show them as one Asian session. It is usually calmer than London and New York.

  • Crypto never closes

    Bitcoin and other coins trade 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays.

India has no daylight saving, so London and New York times in IST move by one hour when those countries change their clocks. Clocks change on different dates in the UK, the US and Australia, so for a few weeks in spring and autumn some times differ by an hour. The live clock above always shows today's exact times.

Questions

What is the best time to trade forex in India?
The London and New York overlap, about 17:30 to 21:30 IST in summer and 18:30 to 22:30 IST in winter, is usually the busiest window. Busier is not the same as better: check the economic calendar first and trade only your plan.
Is forex open on Saturday?
No. Forex runs from Monday morning in Sydney to Friday evening in New York. In India that is from about 01:30 or 02:30 IST on Monday to 02:30 or 03:30 IST on Saturday. Crypto trades every day.
